OH MY GOD!!
Watch this!!!!!!!!!!
I have talked about our school production of Willy Wonka back in April A LOT, and I have even posted pictures, but I recently found some videos online! Here is one of my favorites. Have a look.
So what do you think?
Quick note: the best number, especially vocally in our production was "Cheer Up Charlie" sung by Brianna and Nick. I cannot find a video of that, but I WILL post a video of both of them singing... Maybe later today so please watch that and support them when I do. (:
I'm Greg and these are my odd thoughts, things I find interesting, amusing, and/or funny, along with bits and pieces of my life!

Hike!
Okay so yesterday (friday) I went on a hike with Bianca and her parents!
It was a long and fun day!
Again, I love it because as I have stated many times before I love the beauty of Newfoundland!
I got up at 7:30 AM and was picked up to go on the hike at 9. It was a short 20 minute drive out of town to get to our destination.
On the way I discovered that Bianca is just like her mom! Bianca is crazy, weird, and out there which I love, but her mom is exactly like her, so now I know where she gets it! On our way tehre all I hear was "Oh look! Look at the moomoos! The moomoos!" then I heard "moooooooo" continuous cow noises... It sounded just like bianca, the voice she would use and everything, so I looked over expecting it to be her, but no! It was her mom! I lost it with laughter... Oh it was great!
Anyway after we hiked for about an hour, we were at a fork in the trail. One way was a continuation of the trail, and another was a look out point, basically a cliff compiled of huge rocks where one could have a fantastic view of the water and it was also perfect for climbing which meant myself and Bianca couldn't resist. So Bianca, her mom and I went there while her dad waited on the trail for us, and then we continued.
There were A LOT of pictures taken by the way.
Our next destination was a big bridge which would then lead to a rocky beach area where we would just hang out and enjoy the scenery for a while. On our way tehre, we kept casuall picking berries... There were blueberries and cranberries... Bianca's mom loves cranberries, but we were primarily after the blueberries, which we would pick on the way back.
When we got to the rocky beach area, there were a lot more climbing oppurtunities for myself and Bianca, and needless to say, we took them! It was a lot of fun.
Then we made our way back which meant blueberry picking! We ended up with quite a few blueberries in various containers...
I tried to keep this post as short as possible, but there was a lot accomplished and it was a long, fun hike. It wasn't finished until about 3:00 PM.
At about 3:30, myself and Bianca ended up back at my house where he had a feed! First we snacked on a few things, then I made us some cheesey noodles. After that, we just relaxed for a bit, and then went outside for a bit of a walk. When we came back, we relazed for another little bit until mom called us up for dinner, and for dinner was some good ol' mac & cheese. Dinner was then followed by AMAZING peanut butter cookies with cream cheese filling that my mom had made that day!
They were so wonderfully delicious!
We went to Cassanya's house later, but she wasn't there, so we had a chat with her mom who asked us how our hike was, so we told her, and then Bianca added that we went back to my house, and I added "and had a feed". Cassanya's mom laughed, then looked at me "you eating? Shocker" she laughed.
This is the same woman who greeted me the other day when I went to Cassanya's house and said "There is soup on the stove. Help yourself, and you don't have to ask because I know you are hungry" because I am "always hungry". So, there is a running joke about how much I eat LOL!
Anyway she told us Cassanya would be home soon, so we waited at the bus stop for her, and sure enough she was... We hung out with her for a bit until we all went home, and I don't know about Bianca, but I had a well needed good sleep! The best one I have had in a while!

It is another really sunny day out today, so I am going outside with Tristen a little later, but I thought I would do a QUICK post before I did. It was thrown together in just 20 minutes, so I apologize if it's not that great.

Celtic Thunder
I quite like Celtic thunder... They are coming here actually, on the 7th and 8th of September, which is pretty cool, but for those of you wondering, no I am not going to see them. Part of me wants to, but it's no big deal that I don't haha. It's not that big of a deal...
However, since it is their "heritage" tour, meaning they are going back to their roots, doing celtic/irish music, it would be kind of cool to see them, and the crowds reaction in Newfoundland, since it has such strong irish roots and whatnot. A lot of the songs are songs that a lot people grew up with basically, and grew up hearing. Even I grew up hearing classics like "Whisky in The Jar"and "Black is The Colour".
For now I will stick to listening to the songs LOL!
Just to end the post, a little video of a song with great energy, that I haven't been able to get out of my head with great energy, and it makes me feel all "Happy, and dancy... and Newfoundlandery" and whatnot LOL.

Some Great Works I love From Some of My Favorite Artists In History
Note: I will be posting the titles above the pictures.
Head of a Man
Decanter Tureens
Composition With A Skull
Claude Monet
Pablo Picasso
Portrait of Igor Stravinsky

Composition With A Skull
Marc Chagall
Chagall painted in a style all his own, combining elements of Expressionism, Symbolism, Cubism and, to a lesser degree, other Modernist art movements. A prolific and multi-faceted artist, Chagall left behind him thousands of works in many different techniques and media. It is because of this I love his work so much and it was difficult to narrow it down to just a few, and the most I could narrow it down to is 8.
Artist and his model
Artist at A Festival
Blue House
Blue Village
Blue Violinist
Burning House
Clowns At Night
The Magician
Claude Monet
Monet is recognized as being one of the creators of Impressionism and he was the most convinced and consistent Impressionist of them all. From his earliest days as an artist, he was encouraged to trust his perceptions and the hardships he suffered never deterred him from that pursuit.
Monet is one of the best of all time, and I absolutely love his work, so it was even harder to choose which works I should include, and narrow it down to a few. I managed to narrow it down to 11.
Autum at Argenteuil
Etretat at the end of the day
Poplers on the bank of the river Epte
Red Poppies at Argenteuil
The Cape martin
Haystack at the sunset near Giverny
Haystack, end of summer, morning
Haystack, snow effects, morning
Water-lillies
Water-lillies
Impression: Sunrise
Salvador Dali
Salvador has made some of the wildest, craziest, and coolest paintings ever, and
is basically the inventor of surrealism! Dali possessed excellent painting skills – his works were technically brilliant – and an extraordinary imagination. The artist was also an excellent showman, and had a love for outrageous and provocative acts.
Study for a self portrait
The Metamorphosis of Narcissus
The Invisable Man
The Persistence of Memory
The Disintegration of The Persistence of Memory

Pumped For School- Can't wait!
Okay, so... School doesn't start up here again until September 7th, and I can't wait to get back!
If you read some of my older posts (the few I made) of last year's school year, then you will understand why. It may seem weird for anyone going to a north american public school to be excited to go back, and often times it would be, mine is completely different!
The teachers aren't just teachers, they are friends. That is one of my favorite things about it all; they don't treat us like inferior beings like most teachers do just because that is the "traditional" teacher-student relationship, they treat us like equals because we are.
I also can't wait to see all of my friends again!
Back to the teachers for a minute... My English teacher from last year who all of my "old" readers will know about, told me (to my delight) that I "better be" in her class this year, which she said right when she found out I wouldn't be able to be in advanced english which she teaches (which disappointed BOTH of us) because due to transportation issues I would not be able to get there half an hour early everyday. When she said I better be in her class, she also said that "we can make it happen".
In other words, sometime before school starts I need to talk to the guidance councilor or someone about changing things around so it happens (if I didn't already get in it by chance). There is supposed to be a call a week or two before school about "course changes" and things that would indicate when I should go to do that, but there hasn't been anything yet, so I am a little confused, but will figure it out soon!

Completely Unrelated
I found a really interesting song which makes the obvious point that there are only so many combinations of chords that musicians can use, and one seems to be REALLY common! Some songs aren't as different as we thought... They linked together 36 songs that all use the same chords. It is REALLY cool to hear so take a listen!

A Fully Packed, Fun day With Tristen!
The title says it all! Yesterday (Wednesday), I woke up at 6:30 am, left the house at 8:00 am, and was gone for the whole day. I didn't get back until after 11:00 pm
It was quite fun actually. The first thingI did was go with Tristen and his dad for a nice drive to there cabin because his dad had to meet with and talk to the contractors that will be fixing up the cabin. It was roughly an hour and a half there and back. When I first got in the car, Tristen's dad, Dave made a funny comment about Tristen's music which he had playing, "welcome Greg, I hate to break it to you, but it looks like we are going to be force-fed Tristen's music for the duration of the trip", and when he mentioned how he was spefiically talking about how a lot of it seems to be the same 4 or 5 bands who all sound the same my imidiate reaction was "I KNOW!", which caused Dave and tristen to laugh... but MOSTLY Dave haha!
Luckily for the majority of it, Dave picked the music! haha!
Another one of the first thing's Tristen's dad mentioned to me when I first got into the car was quite interesting as well. There was a lot of room in the back because it was a pretty big, family vehicle, and it was just me in the back with lots of room back there, while Tristen and his dad were in the front, so Dave said "Oh and Greg, I was just talking to Tristen about how there is so much room back there, and since we only have you in the back and there is lots of room... you see, when we have lots of room like that, we like to pick up possibly sketchy-looking hitch hikers", he had a big smirk on his face and added "Especially dirty ones!" It was pretty funny! Actually hilarious!
Anyway there were a lot of jokes and LOTS of laughter as there always is when the 3 of us are together. We stopped for coffee/tea and whatnot at around 9 or so, and then continued.
By the way, there are lots of jokes made about Tristen's hair by everyone, and this trip was no exception so we had already made a few at this point... Tristen has a real, classic geek/nerd look to him LOL. His hair is a big part of that! He what I like to call a "nerd fro", it's basically a poofy mass of big, golden curls, with the sun bouncing off of it. Actually, he kind kid of reminds me A LOT of Screech from saved by the bell... He looks almost exactly like a blonde-haired Screech. The hair is actually the EXACT SAME only blonde.

Anyway, the reason I am saying this is because before we got to the first stop Dave was making jokes about his hair, and while we were at the stop, after we had everything, myself and tristen were waiting outside while Dave was on the phone. While we were waiting, a woman came up and asked Tristen "Is your hair nautural?", I had to bite my lip to keep from laughing. She went on to say how it was rare to have natural hair like that etc... When she left, we both burst out laughing!
We told his dad as soon as he was done, and he had the same reaction, adding more comments and jokes. Overall the whole trip was a laugh riot!
After we got there and Tristen's dad did what he had to do, we headed back, getting lunch on the way, and got back at their house shortly after 2:00. Right when we got back, Tristen and I walked to my house, so i could get my clipboard and a few pencils, and walked around for a good bit, just having fun outside.
Eventually we went back to Tristen's house and he invited over a couple of friends he met in Quebec when he was up there (recently) for a program where a bunch of teenagers from Newfoundland (between certain ages) went up there for a "learning experience", so he met quite a few people up there.
As I said, two of the people he met there, came over to his house, and it was quite nice meeting them. They are Twins named Sam and Heather. For those of you wondering, they must be feternal because yes, they were quite easy to tell apart, and not once did I get one mixed up with her sister!
So I met them, and the four of us hung out, went on the trampoline for a bit, etc... Basically we spent the rest of the night with them, and briefly watching his little brother and sister.
One little thing that I found particularly funny was that along with the comments and compliments from the twins that I am used to getting on my drawings when they found the clipboard wherever it was laid, I also got a really NEW one from hunter, Tristen's 7 year old brother...
When he found it, he picked it up, and looked at the doodle page that was at the front. (below)
Then he looked up and asked "did Bugs Bunny draw these?" Needless to say, it was pretty funny!
there you have it... Yesterday was a long day, and it was really fun, but it tired me out quite a bit. So when i got home at 11:00 pm, after I talked to my parents for a bit, I went right to bed and got a well-needed, good sleep!
Quick Doodle Post!
These are various "clipboard doodles".
They get that name because I have a clipboard, equipped with a lot of paper for drawing anytime I want/drawing on the go, so "clipboard doodles" are just doodles that i have done using that. I also do finished, and structured drawings usin it as well, such as the cartoon practices and studies I have in the back of it which can be found on my cartooning blog.
Here are some recent ones I have done.
