Quick Updates

First, let's start with musical updates.

The cabaret is still scheduled for February 9th, and auditions for the school musical, "My Son Pinocchio" are on January 28th. Everyone, including mr. Rao (the theatre teacher and director of it all) said I would make a great Pinocchio, so he gave m the aside for Stromboli which he gave every guy who is auditioning, along with an aside for Pinocchio.

Midterm exams were supposed to start today, but we got a snow day! No exams until Monday!

In other news I got my eyes checked yesterday, and it turns out I'm near-sighted, so I'm getting glasses. I actually can't wait and I'm oddly excited.

Today has been a pretty lazy day and I've been lying down with Bailey for most of it, while pebbles and Furby (Nan's baby) have been out in the living room lying down or playing.

I have talked about our school production of Willy Wonka back in April A LOT, and I have even posted pictures, but I recently found some videos online! Here is one of my favorites. Have a look.

Quick note: the best number, especially vocally in our production was "Cheer Up Charlie" sung by Brianna and Nick. I cannot find a video of that, but I WILL post a video of both of them singing... Maybe later today so please watch that and support them when I do. (:

The Nut Room

Thi is the demise of veruca and was the most elaborate scene in the show!

In the song "I Want It Now" Veruca throws a tantrum, climbing over everything and causing everyone to panic

 hahaha Mr. Salt Fainted... The guy playing Mr. Salt played it so big, it was hilarious. This was especially funny because Katy (Mike Teevee) would kick him when he was on the ground

 An oompa Loompa gag. Oompas goofing around, taking pictures followed by the line "what's the loompy doompy doing?" Needless to say they got surprised and pretended like they were working the whole time.

Our Production of Willy Wonka: Act 1

First I would like to point out that theses photots of JUST THE ACTUAL SHOW itself, aren't even half of the pictures we got of the actual show! That's not even including all the pictures from before and after shows, and backstage during the shows etc.

Interview with the two-faced, bratty veruca. She played her part so well and the guy who played her dad was hilarious! This scene was a laugh and a half! "I want hime FIRED, Daddy! FIRED! FIRED FIRED!" She had the accent down too haha (the character was brazillian and she is Columbian) ;)

Charlie's birthday!

For his birthday the poor Charlie bucket recieves a wonka bar hoping he will recieve the last golden ticket, only to get his hopes dashed. This leads to the next song "Cheer Up Charlie" which we turned into a duet for Mr and Mrs. Bucket rather than have the grandparents do their line because the voices of nick and brianna (Mr & Mrs Bucket) are amazing! Sooo beautiful! That combined with the brilliant acting of them and Charlie created a beautiful heart-felt family moment. It was amazing to watch and listen to it. Ps I may post a couple of videos I found on youtube. One is of nick singing and the other is of brianna singing a solo with the school's chamber choir.

Side note: The Name of the girl who played Charlie is jacqueline, and she was absolutely amazing! She played the part sooooo well! Actually everyone was phenomenal!
